Dawn grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She got her start in the legal field working part time during junior high and high school for her father, who was an estate planning, probate and real estate attorney. Dawn graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. During her college years she worked part time for a law firm in downtown Chicago during her school breaks. After getting married she relocated to central Illinois where she worked for a law firm specializing in estate planning, probate and divorce.
Dawn, her husband Bill, and their two children moved to Arizona in 1986. Dawn worked as a paralegal for two law firms from 1986 to 1998, concentrating in the areas of family law, probates, bankruptcies and estate planning.
Dawn started her present business, Arizona Legal Services in 1998. Dawn shares office space with her husband, Bill, who has been an independent insurance broker for the last several years providing insurance in the areas of auto, home, life and business insurance and writes insurance through several different companies.
Dawn’s daughter and office partner, Katie DeYoung, is married and has three small children. Dawn also has a son, Steve Kaiser, who is married and also has three small children. Steve served in the U.S. Army, was deployed to Afghanistan and wrote and published a book about his experience while over there.
Free time is devoted to family and friends, relaxing with a good book, bike riding, hiking and enjoying beautiful Arizona.
